1. User self-service Password reset with ldap based mailservers

   It would be nice to see afterlogic have a "forgot password" settings which would allow a user to reset the account password through mailing a reset link to the users private email address. The private emailadress should be read out of the ldap and not the sql database from afterlogic to keep this manageable through the administration tools of the ldap admin.

   Currently we user the following tool, which works nice but it would be nice to have this integrated into afterlogic.
   The developer is quiet open for suggestions, so maybe you guys could come together to use his already in php coded solution into afterlogic webmail solutions (pro and or lite).

   If you'd add this feature we would upgrade to Webmail PRO without second thought because this is the absolute killer feature, even better than making it possible to manage SPAM filter settings in the settings pane.

   We love Afterlogic in our NPO orga because it is simple and provides most of the features that are required to work with messages.
   The reason why we did not go for pro was because it lacks SPAM settings and advanced (sieve) filter functionality, as well as a user self service password reset (not change!) features when connected to an LDAP based mailservers.

2. custom SPAM settings tab in Account Settings

   It would be really nice if you could add a tab called SPAM in the account settings view, where one could set custom spam handling settings as well as the account specific spam filtering level.
   This can be achieved via Sieve Filters, which you guys implemented beautifully already! :)

3. Allow to subscribe to folders with one click

   Allow users to subscribe/unsubscribe to email folders with one click. Now they are forced to go by one clicking: when you have 200 folders it's very very painful!

   Isn’t password change/autoresponder the first feature the user sees in cPanel even before logging in AfterLogic WebMail? I mean when the user logs in webmail interface, it first sees the cPanel’s webmail selector and on the same form the user sees change password/account management features. After that, the user clicks our webmail to get to the messages. Why do we need another change password interface?

9. All attachments size limit and ERROR_MESSAGE_SENDING extention

   Introduce a setting for the maximum allowed size of all attachments and/or extend ERRORMESSAGESENDING with the exact error returned by the SMTP server.

10. erase all contacts in one time

    if import failed, or to perform a new import, erase all contacts could be a long operation with much contacts, I suggest a command "erase all contacts" to do this in one time

13. True conversation view

    Add true conversation view (not just IMAP threading)

    This should pick up mails that belong to each other, no matter what folder they are in (One part in folder Archive, one part in folder Sent, one part in folder Inbox for example) and tie them together so that they are presented like a conversation a la Gmail.

    Since IMAP doesn't natively allow for this the solution will not be so easy but I think it would open the door for many other features that you might wanna add in the future as well.

    You'd have to write your own mail indexing backend which creates a relationship store out of the mails in IMAP to be able to tie them together like that. On the other hand this indexing store would also allow you to do very fast cross folder searches, and potentially far more complicated searches than you could otherwise. It would also open the door for a tag system a la Gmail that isn't supported in plain IMAP either.

    This feature request centers around conversation view only, though. I'd like to have the messages that belong to each other display one after another on the message preview pane so that you can scroll through all messages and display them in chronological order. (Newest message top, oldest message bottom)

    This is very complex question. Years before we’d had a system which maintained indices and so on in database. This provided more features but, sadly, was too troublesome for providers which were installing this system. They tend to request mail front-end which is easy to maintain, without the need to worry about syncing data from multiple sources (database and IMAP store).

    So database caching is a powerful tool but not when it comes to a system with large user count.

    We, however, now in the process of providing the solution which will focus on business mail – supporting lesser number of users with more features (Aurora) so database storage for mail data can become an option again.

14. Archive mail function, with a button next to delete

    Like Gmails archive function (and many others), I'd like the ability to be able to one-click archive mail instead of deleting it.

    Instead of it being moved to Trash it should then be moved to Archive (or whatever you have set up for the Archive location in Settings)

    The Archive folder should also be treated as one of the major folders with its own icon and show maybe below Sent but above Trash in the folder list.

    Will think on it for the upcoming versions (the next version is almost ready so we’re not adding new features to it but the version next to it may get this).

15. Webmail pro - show message size

    No big deal, but IMHO it would be nice to do as some webmails do, in an email preview, when you click on an email, show its TOTAL size in the header (including attachments, be them embedded or not).

16. Add On/Off to settings-tab for "show quoted text"

    some of our customers complained, that they have to click the "show quoted text"-button in every mail they open.

17. webmail pro - copy emails between accounts

    Would be nice to be able to copy emails from primary account to external account defined in webmail pro and vice versa.

    Next to "Move to Folder", we could have something like "Move to Account" menu. It would only move mails to Inbox folder of a different account, but that's a start. In the future, we could add drag'n'drop functionality there.

    Any idea why can this be useful? We had message size displayed before but removed this as this feature was useless but occupied screen space. Modern webmails like Gmail don’t show message size.
