2. True conversation view

   Add true conversation view (not just IMAP threading)

   This should pick up mails that belong to each other, no matter what folder they are in (One part in folder Archive, one part in folder Sent, one part in folder Inbox for example) and tie them together so that they are presented like a conversation a la Gmail.

   Since IMAP doesn't natively allow for this the solution will not be so easy but I think it would open the door for many other features that you might wanna add in the future as well.

   You'd have to write your own mail indexing backend which creates a relationship store out of the mails in IMAP to be able to tie them together like that. On the other hand this indexing store would also allow you to do very fast cross folder searches, and potentially far more complicated searches than you could otherwise. It would also open the door for a tag system a la Gmail that isn't supported in plain IMAP either.

   This feature request centers around conversation view only, though. I'd like to have the messages that belong to each other display one after another on the message preview pane so that you can scroll through all messages and display them in chronological order. (Newest message top, oldest message bottom)

   This is very complex question. Years before we’d had a system which maintained indices and so on in database. This provided more features but, sadly, was too troublesome for providers which were installing this system. They tend to request mail front-end which is easy to maintain, without the need to worry about syncing data from multiple sources (database and IMAP store).

   So database caching is a powerful tool but not when it comes to a system with large user count.

   We, however, now in the process of providing the solution which will focus on business mail – supporting lesser number of users with more features (Aurora) so database storage for mail data can become an option again.

   Any idea why can this be useful? We had message size displayed before but removed this as this feature was useless but occupied screen space. Modern webmails like Gmail don’t show message size.

4. custom WebDav/FTP(s) repository for file integration

   Can you actually add a feature in webmail, that allows mapping a custom Webdav/FTP(s) repository to upload/download file from, similiar to GoogleDrive and Dropbox integration?

   Owncloud e.g. is beeing used more and more and deserves integration in my opinion, as well as Dropbox and GoogleDrive have already. =)

6. Common CalDav Calendar support

   Baikal is a good example of a completely free caldav server. Being able to use it from within Afterlogic would be just ... wow!

8. Send message to group - Webmail Pro

   A customer asked me a question many like to ask "I want to email all my contacts to tell them them my phone number changed".

   So I saw the feature which is really nice, you create a Group, drag all contacts in the group and click SEND EMAIL TO GROUP.

   Almost perfect, only:

   It puts recipients in TO and not BCC. So it would reveal to his friends their emails.

   I dont see also a way to copy x paste addresses in TO: to BCC in afterlogic, it doesnt let me select the addresses in the TO FIELD.

   He could however, click on that option to "See emails with this group" inside grupos and copy x paste the addresses (would need some experience to hit control a, etc. as afterlogic shows them inside the search field, imagine 200 emails there) and copy x paste to BCC.

   Anyways, what I did for him, I exported his contacts to CSV, used a tip I have where I automatically put a comma in each email and told him to send it in BCC in 2 or 3 blocks (due to our limitations on # of recipients per email).

   So summarizing:

   • Some way to be able to use "send message to groups feature" with BCC would be neat useful.

10. Webmail pro - show message size

    No big deal, but IMHO it would be nice to do as some webmails do, in an email preview, when you click on an email, show its TOTAL size in the header (including attachments, be them embedded or not).

11. Alerts when deleting, etc - webmail pro

    Hi,

    we talked about this to support before, nothing urgent, but if you try to delete a folder for example inside manage folders, system asks "are you sure you want to delete folder?".

    It would be nice if it informed what folder. So "are you sure you want to delete folder xyz?". Just for safety reasons, would be nice for system to inform what folder I asked to delete...

12. search for big emails - webmail pro

    Customer wants to be able to search for big emails so he can clean his mailbox. Ive seen this in other webmails, a way to search and show messages over a certain size or sort the size column.

    Didnt find a way to do this in Afterlogic.

13. webmail pro - copy emails between accounts

    Would be nice to be able to copy emails from primary account to external account defined in webmail pro and vice versa.

    Next to "Move to Folder", we could have something like "Move to Account" menu. It would only move mails to Inbox folder of a different account, but that's a start. In the future, we could add drag'n'drop functionality there.

16. More completa autoresponder - webmail pro

    Might be nice a more complete autoresponder

    • respond only in certain date range
    • respond only if message to me (if my address is in TO, in BCC it wont reply)
    • no autoresponder for certain addresses (to avoid responding back to mailing lists)
    • respond only once (store IPs/sender who already received 1 response)
    • usage of variables (Hi, sender, received your email on date)

    I had asked about forwarding email as attachment and I was told it was probably in roadmap for the future.

    No big deal, just might be nice to have a small icon in new message composition to sign the message. I know it automatically adds signature, but one might delete it, etc. or want to add it manually. Just a small pen/signature icon as other webmails have.

20. Search for folders - webmail pro php

    It would be nice if I could search for folders, without having to use Control F. Perhaps an input box below the folder listing where I can type a folder name and it would filter out and show it.

    I have many folders, so I have to keep using control F to find one.
